Danny DeVito & Jeff Goldblum to star in a comedy series for Amazon

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Quick, somebody pinch me. Can it be that Danny DeVito and Jeff Goldblum are really going to star in a new half-hour comedy series for Amazon Studios courtesy of Imagine TV? Holy crap, I just checked my sources, and yes, it's all happening, people! First, Goldblum arrives looking all slick as the Grandmaster in THOR: RAGNAROK, then he announces that he's game for appearing in JURASSIC WORLD 2! After that, Goldblum mysteriously goes to work at a food truck, and while handing out posh hot dogs, claims that it's all in preparation for a very secretive role. Is there anything that you're not doing, Jeff Goldblum?

Okay, Steve, focus. Created and written by THE SIMPSONS producer and writer Tim Long, the yet-to-be-titled comedy will feature the pair as an iconic but defunct music duo from the past. Matt Downey (Goldblum) and Arlo Finkleman (DeVito) are then forced to reunite regardless of their abiding distaste for one another. As the talented but head-strong pair attempt to reconcile, they turn to the people who've managed to love them despite their penchant for being wholly insufferable. Together with their wives, ex-wives, children, managers, friends and lovers – who each have outlandish personality quirks of their own – Matt and Arlo must figure out a way to get in tune with one another, once again.

Yup! Sounds good to me! I'm in! Reportedly, DeVito and his son, Jake DeVito, will executively produce the show in a partnership with Imagine TV's Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. You can expect to hear more updates about this project as the details come about.

Meanwhile, you can catch Jeff Goldbulm as the Grandmaster in THOR: RAGNAROK which will be worthy of opening in theaters on October 25, 2017.
