Daredevil Season 3 to introduce Peter Halpin as Foggy Nelson’s brother

Ahead of tomorrow's highly-anticipated premiere of Netflix's DAREDEVIL Season 3, the streaming giant, along with Marvel Entertainment, have announced that Irish actor Peter Halpin will be joining the cast as Theo Nelson, brother of Matt Murdock's kind-hearted compatriot in fighting the good fight, Foggy Nelson. When Theo enters the dark and dangerous dealings surrounding The Man Without Fear, he'll do so as Foggy's workaday younger sibling who's spent most of his life working at his parents' local business, the Hell's Kitchen Butcher Shop. Rather than pull another character from the pages of Marvel Comics to participate in the upcoming crime adventure, Theo was created specifically for the upcoming season.

Does this mean that Foggy (Elden Henson) will play a larger role in the events to come? I sure hope so, as I've always enjoyed his affable demeanor as well as his passion for justice. Plus, with Matt seemingly ready to fully embrace his superhero persona, there's no telling how badly he'll need the Nelson brothers to bring light to the dark recesses of his self-appointed journey.

When DAREDEVIL Season 3 begins, the gritty Marvel series will see Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) released from prison and fueled by a passion for revenge against the masked vigilante who put him them. As the series continues, we'll find Matt reunited with his mother, Sister Maggie Murdock (Joanne Whalley), as he searches for a deeper meaning to his acts of heroism, self-sacrifice, and faith-testing feats of inner strength.

DAREDEVIL Season 3 will star Charlie Cox (THEORY OF EVERYTHING, STARDUST), Deborah Ann Woll (TRUE BLOOD, PUNISHER), Elden Henson (THE MIGHTY DUCKS, IDLE HANDS), Jay Ali (THE FOSTERS, SIGNIFICANT MOTHER), Vincent D'Onofrio (FULL METAL JACKET, THE CELL), and Wilson Bethel (GENERATION KILL, HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER) as Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter, who comes to be known as the villain Bullseye.

DAREDEVIL Season 3 will swing onto Netflix tomorrow! Be sure to check out our early review, courtesy of Alex Maidy.
