David O Russell has a million things in the pipeline since he directed THE FIGHTER. One of them is a possible re-team with Christian Bale.
The two may join together for AMERICAN BULLSHIT. The script is from the writer of THE INTERNATIONAL and one episode of AEON FLUX. There’s not much on the plot except this it’s a “fact based drama with global implications”.
Russell and Bale aren’t attached to the project yet. Apparently the two are talking. The director is interested in taking on the job and is trying to get Bale to star. If all goes well, the two will get to work together again. Russell has already released a statement on the news, “Reports that I am attached to American Bullshit are premature. It is something I am in early discussions on and I have great respect for Chuck Roven and Christian Bale. I am also developing other projects and have not chosen my next film.”
