Deadpool becomes an X-Men trainee in new Deadpool 2 TV spot

Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) doesn’t really play well with others, them likely finding his whimsical-yet-crass demeanor a bit off-putting – not to mention his face looks like someone tried to light a piece of gum on fire. But come DEADPOOL 2 he inches ever so much closer to becoming a member of the supergroup, the X-Men, and officially enters trainee status in the brand-new TV spot. However, who knows how long they’ll let him stick around when the other members realize he’s taking Professor X’s chair for a joy ride.

In the last movie, Deadpool proved he wasn’t quite the superhero material, but in this one, he must get some friends if he is to help a young boy with powers (Julian Dennison) by fighting off Cable (Josh Brolin). Trying to join the X-Men may be his way of doing this, all before he goes off and forms his own team of super pals, the X-Force, of which Peter is the strongest member.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

DEADPOOL 2 hits theaters May 18.
