MILES AHEAD is an exploration of one of 20th century music’s creative geniuses, Miles Davis, as he virtually disappears from public view for a period of five years in the late 1970s. A wily music reporter, Dave Braden (Ewan McGregor) forces his way into Davis’ house and, over the next couple of days, the two men unwittingly embark on a wild and sometimes harrowing adventure to recover a stolen tape of the musician’s latest compositions. Aside from the show House of Lies, Don Cheadle hasn’t portrayed too many characters outside of Marvel’s War Machine lately. That’s just part of the reason I’m curious to check out MILES AHEAD. Cheadle is obviously very passionate about the project, having also co-written and directed it, so I’m willing to bet he gives the role his all. Couple him up with Ewan McGregor, and it sounds like we have some serious entertainment with this one!
MILES AHEAD will open in theaters on April 1, 2016.
