Bill & Ted Face the Music, William Sadler, Death

Get down with your bad self! The official Twitter account for BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC has confirmed that the Duke of Spook, the Doc of Shock, and the Man with No Tan, Death himself, will return for the long-gestating sequel! Remember kids, "You might be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you dance with the Reaper!"

Oh boy! Fans of the Bill & Ted franchise have been waiting for this one. I know this because I've lost count of how many our readers have called for the all singing, all dancing, board game playing villain to be included as a part of the cast of the upcoming film. The character first arrived as a standout of BILL & TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY, the 1991 follow-up to BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE. In the film, the San Dimas slackers are tasked with defeating a tyrant from the future who creates evil robot doubles of Bill and Ted to off the air guitar-shredding duo before they can create music that eventually brings peace throughout the known galaxy. Along their journey, Bill and Ted encounter Death, who, as it turns out, isn't such a bad guy after all.

Here's the official synopsis for BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC:

When we last met Bill and Ted they were time-traveling teenagers trying to pass history class and win the battle of the bands. Once prophesized to save the universe with their rock and roll, middle age and the responsibilities of family have caught up with these two best friends who have not yet fulfilled their destiny. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, Bill and Ted find much, much more than just a song.
