America's ass, I mean Chris Evans, has joined the cast of Adam McKay's Don't Look Up. Evans arrives as the latest A-lister to join the star-studded project, which already includes actors Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Rob Morgan, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, and Tomer Sisley.

McKay's next is a Netflix joint, which the filmmaker will write, direct, and co-produce alongside Kevin Messick through McKay’s Hyperobject Industries studio. The upcoming film centers around two low-level astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy Earth. Netflix had no comment when asked about Evans' involvement, nor do we know who he'll be playing for the movie at this time.

Filming is currently underway in Boston, with COVID-19 safety protocols being followed to the letter. Evans recently completed his role as Andy Barber for the Apple TV+ limited series Defending Jacob, which presents a gripping, character-driven thriller based on the 2012 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name by William Landay. For the series, an assistant DA's world is shattered when his beloved son gets charged with murder.
