The Kubrick Collection October 23

Here’s the nifty KUBRICK set packaging that includes 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, The Shining and Full Metal Jacket Deluxe Edition, along with a full-length documentary, A Life

in Pictures which is directed by long time associate Jan Harlan with personal photographs by Kubrick’s wife, Christiane Kubrick. Check HERE for the some of the covers included with the set, go HERE for a nice rundown of the features. BARRY LYNDON and LOLITA also will be released but won’t be a part of the box set.

Mr. Brooks October 23

The flick might be worth seeing based solely on Kevin Costner wearing a bow tie. And the possibility of seeing Dane Cook fix his perfectly manicured hair with a shotgun. All things must pass away. I like the story which is about a straight laced guy with the perfect life who happens to have a penchant for murder and an annoying voice that tells him to kill. Bitchin’. Our very own The Arrow gave it a favorable review, read it HERE.

  • Anamorphic Widescreen Presentation
  • English DD5.1 Surround
  • English and Spanish subtitles

Poltergeist (CE) September 11

“They’re here.” Yes, okay we get it, they’re here. Stop with the nonsense. No other movie scared the bejezzus out of me like POLTERGEIST when I was lil’ Moreno. And to think the little kid died and all kinds of creepy shit was happening on the set, still gives me goose bumps to this die. Shit, that’s a herpes flare up. For a 25th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, it’s a little light on the extras. Included with it is a 2 part documentary called They Are Here: The Real World of Poltergeists Revealed – Science of the Spirits and Communing with the Dead. The Theatrical Trailer is also on this wonderful collection.
