Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man movie is the closest it has ever been

We have been hearing rumblings about an Ant-Man movie for the last few years, it just seems to keep getting pushed out further and further. But, with the impending success of THE AVENGERS, Marvel will be on the lookout for other heroes to add to the squad.

During a recent interview, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had this to say about the project.

It’s somewhere. I’ll just say it’s closer than it’s ever been in its long maybe eight year history, and I usually e-mail Edgar every two or three days and over those eight years its got further away and closer… we are now closer than we’ve ever been. So I hope it will come together shortly.

While that is far from a greenlight for the film, it is the closest we have to it.  Edgar would definitely take a unique approach to a superhero film but also show the genre the respect it deserves.
