Exclusive: Gina Carano hunts down eco-criminals in Scorched Earth trailer

The pollution of the earth is indeed the issue of our time, and if we aren't careful, climate change could send us ourselves into an unimaginable chaos. The air would become too toxic to breathe and the water too poisonous to drink, but the worst part about it would be that Gina Carano would be on your ass if you threw a candy bar wrapper on the floor. In her new movie - SCORCHED EARTH - Carano, plays a bounty hunter whose job it is to find and capture eco-criminals who continue to pollute after the world has descended into an apocalypse.  We here at JoBlo have an exclusive trailer for you, and you should be prepared to take care of the environment after you watch it. The last thing you want is a world where Carano roundhouses you for not properly rationing your water.

Here is the full synopsis:

The planet has suffered an environmental collapse; the air became dangerous to breathe, the water became toxic, and billions of people died. Generations later, mankind has finally re-established a rudimentary society and is attempting to pick up the pieces that continue to blister in the sun. There is no more heinous crime than to pollute what scant resources remain.

Gage is a bounty hunter that searches the Wasteland for wanted eco-criminals, and when she is given a chance at the bounty of a lifetime, she cannot resist, even if it might be a suicide mission. She must bring in a ruthless outlaw, Thomas Jackson, who has enslaved an entire town and forced the inhabitants to mine for silver, essential to the water and air purification process, and this new world’s most valuable commodity.

Gage infiltrates Jackson’s gang and everything is going to plan until she meets Jackson’s slave girl, Melena, who reminds her of her dead sister. With her loyalty to only herself now tested, Gage is forced to face the fact that there might be more to life than just survival.

Also starring Ryan Robbins and John Hannah, SCORCHED EARTH arrives February 2.
