Fillion is chillin’

We don’t exactly have a high tolerance for vanilla romantic comedies around here, but they’re worth mentioning when someone like Nathan Fillion gets involved.

Fillion, who is mystifyingly not a huge star (despite the worst possible luck with TV shows), has joined Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. in the romcom CHILLED IN MIAMI. The movie follows Zellweger’s upscale Miami consultant sent to a oversee a Minnesota manufacturing plant, with all the expected culture-shock hilarity.

Fillion (affectionately known to his FIREFLY/SERENITY fanbase as “Captain Tightpants”) will likely play some type of small-town blue-collar comic relief. While we’d probably all rather see him traversing the spaceways or fighting alien worms, we’ll have to take what we can get. The Gold Circle movie is now shooting in Canada.
