First teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives ahead of trailer

After what seems like an eternity of waiting for the very first SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY footage, the movie gods have answered our prayers and given us the first teaser. Okay, it’s very brief and may over way too quickly, but hey, it’s something. We get glimpses of Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and a brief look at Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo himself! This footage comes ahead of tomorrow’s full preview, so consider this more like the Christmas Eve gift that comes before the bounty of Christmas day.

The movie has faced a lot of scrutinies ever since directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were taken off the project and replaced with Ron Howard. But soon that will be behind us and in three months the movie will be out and we can see if all this anxiety was all for nothing. The teaser footage looks absolutely gorgeous, and much like ROGUE ONE, there's a visual style to it that makes it look unlike any Star Wars before it. A lot of props go to DP Bradford Young, who did incredible work on the movie ARRIVAL back in 2016 and looks to add another beautiful movie to his portfolio. So far so good, but if the full trailer for the movie doesn't feature some serious Falcon action I will walk away in a huff.
