Five of DC Universe's strangest heroes assemble in a new Doom Patrol trailer

Precisely one week ahead of the show's DC Universe premiere, the House that Batman Built has unleashed a new trailer for DOOM PATROL. Centering on five of DC's Silver Age heroes, DOOM PATROL features the exploits of a ragtag group of do-gooders who are ushered into a plethora of otherworldly adventures by order of Dr. Niles Caulder (Timothy Dalton). As a part of their origin, each member of the team was given their powers courtesy of unspeakable accidents, leaving them disfigured and haunted by questions related to their own identity.

The group was created by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani circa 1963, with the team having received many reboots since their My Greatest Adventure #80 comic book debut. In 2016, DOOM PATROL was rebooted by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and artist Nick Derington for the Young Animal comic book imprint.

Created by Jeremy Carver for DC Universe, DOOM PATROL stars April Bowlby as Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman, Brendan Fraser and Riley Shanahan as Clifford "Cliff" Steele aka Robotman, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor aka Negative Man, Joivan Wade as Victor Stone aka Cyborg, Diane Guerrero as Kay Challis aka Crazy Jane, Timothy Dalton as Dr. Niles Caulder aka The Chief, and Alan Tudyk as Eric Morden aka Mr. Nobody.

In the trailer, we see the Doomsters getting up to all manner of shenanigans as they prepare to square off against the insidious Mr. Nobody, a victim of a bothched attempt at exploratory science. As per the lead-up to the show, DC Universe is expected to take full advantage of the show's R-rating, which means that you can expect plenty of foul language, over-the-top-violence, and even the potential for full-on nudity when DOOM PATROL crashes onto DC's exclusive streaming platform.

Buckle up, kiddos, because DOOM PATROL is about to turn comic book television on its head come February 15th.
