From Cool Video to feature film: True Skin to get the big screen treatment courtesy of Warner Bros

Wow, we are pretty influential here at JoBlo.com, aren’t we? One day after Paul posts this short film as one of our Cool Videos and Warner Bros. has already snatched it up for the big screen treatment.

Granted, it was already a hot commodity before we shared it, but still kind of cool nonetheless. The short tells the story of a cyborg-induced world where people interchange their human parts for robotic ones, thereby enhancing them into “living computers” is a very cool concept and one that could very well be a peek into our not-too-distant future.

David Heyman (The HARRY POTTER films) will produce through his Heyday Films. Stephan Zlotescu will get the chance to direct the feature version of his short. Zlotescu has worked on music videos for Kanye West, Lady Gaga, and Nikki Minaj. The short was completely financed on his own and not for very much which surely enticed the WB.

It is nice to see talent get rewarded online. Hopefully the full length film lives up the the potential of the short.
