Game4Paul fundraiser reveals our first look at Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot & more

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

In the aftermath of an earthquake that registered a magnitude of 7.0 some 15 miles (25 km) southwest of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince in 2010, the late Paul Walker, known to many for his role as Brian O'Connor in the Fast and Furious film franchise, established a charity dubbed Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW) to help those affected by the natural disaster. To this very day, the organization continues the tradition of giving aid to those in need, while often attracting high-profile celebrities to lend a hand. While the organization hosts several events throughout the year, their annual Game4Paul livestream always draws a fair amount of eyeballs, as well as a respectable amount of donated earnings.

On this, the fourth year of the annual Game4Paul livestream event, Walker's fellow Fast and Furious co-star, Vin Diesel, has decided to get involved, and he's brought a series or treats from his upcoming BLOODSHOT movie along for the ride. If you're unfamiliar with the Game4Paul initiative, it's a livestreaming charity event full of video games, exclusive sweepstakes and more that support ROWW’s mission to provide disaster relief. Currently, the organization has teams in the field responding to the recent earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia, as well as the aftermath of Hurricane Irene in North Carolina.

For this year's event, Diesel has helped arrange a raft of exclusive signed BLOODSHOT merchandise and comics that can be purchased by fans and viewers in exchange for a donation to ROWW. You can see some of the materials below, including a first look at Diesel as the Valiant character Bloodshot for the upcoming film. While the image does not feature Diesel in full makeup and badass attire, the quasi-concept piece by Valiant artist Lewis LaRosa does paint a great picture of what the bald behemoth will look like as Raymond Garrison aka Bloodshot.

The BLOODSHOT-realted items dedicated to the event are as follows:

BLOODSHOT-THEMED CUSTOM XBOX ONE X CONSOLE (signed by VD — only copy ever made)

BLOODSHOT SALVATION #12 VIN DIESEL VARIANT (signed by VD — only copy ever made)

BLOODSHOT SALVATION #1 BRUSHED METAL VARIANT (signed by 55 members of the Bloodshot cast and crew, including VD, Dave Wilson, Guy Pearce, Sam Heughan, Dinesh Shamdasani, and more)

There's lots more as well, some of which will be sold, some of which will be raffled – see Game4Paul.com for the complete listings!

BLOODSHOT is directed by Dave Wilson (partner at Blur Studios alongside DEADPOOL director Tim Miller, who is making his feature debut), written by Eric Heisserer (ARRIVAL), and produced by Neal Moritz (FAST AND THE FURIOUS), Toby Jaffe (HAPPY!), and Dinesh Shamdasani (ex-Valiant CEO & Chief Creative Officer); it also co-stars Guy Pearce (MEMENTO, LA CONFIDENTIAL), Eiza Gonzalez (BABY DRIVER) and Sam Heughan (OUTLANDER).

Alongside all of that sweet BLOODSHOT swag comes a new logline for the upcoming action adventure:

In BLOODSHOT, Ray Garrison aka Bloodshot, a deceased soldier resurrected by weapons contractor Rising Spirit Technologies through the use of nanotechnology. Suffering from total memory loss but imbued with an array of staggering new abilities, Ray struggles to reconnect with who he was while learning what sort of weapon he has become…aided by a team of fellow augmented combatants codenamed Chainsaw.

The livestream begins at 4 pm ET/1 pm PT on Thursday and the items will be up for purchase after the stream ends as well, so there are multiple opportunities to purchase). The event can be viewed on charity platform Tiltify, Twitch, Mixer, and Facebook Live.

Meanwhile, BLOODSHOT is expected for a February 21, 2020 release in theaters.
