Get behind the scenes of Kick-Ass 2 with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz

What's one thing we've been missing as of late? More Hit Girl.

What an awesome role to be able to fill as a youngster. You get to be a total bad ass with the mouth of a sailor. I won't say that Chloë Grace Moretz is the reason for the ticket sales, but I will say that she makes that character worth the price of admission.

MTV got access to the set of the sequel, KICK-ASS 2 complete with Donald Faison finally coming out of the woodwork. Now if only we could see something from John Leguizamo. I know that the MTV player doesn't work for those out of the states so I capture a few quotes from some of the stars of the flick. In the video we get to see a little of The Motherf*ckers lair and some short action sequences here and there.

Faison starts off talking about the look of the excessive lair and adds that the flick has some sex appeal so to speak, "It's got laughs. It's got really beautiful men."

Then Moretz talks about the overall feel of the film and how it steps up from the previous installment, "You see this new evolution of Mindy Macready and Dave Lizewski, and you see this amazing relationship that they get together with. It's a beautiful story. There's even more heart to it than there was in the last one." Not to mention that she gets to fight with a 6'5" female bodybuilder from the Ukraine.

The short video ends with Aaron Taylor-Johnson commenting on how all the characters are dealing with different issues and how they collide, "Hit Girl is having an identity crisis, and trying to figure out who Mindy Macready and how she fits in at school and Chris is trying to avenge his father so they all intertwine. There's real strong character arcs and a real story to tell there. So we're real super lucky to be here doing it."

KICK-ASS 2 starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Jim Carrey, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Lyndsy Fonseca, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Lindy Booth, Morris Chestnut, Clark Duke, and Yancy Butler hits theaters on August 16, 2013.
