All this week, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada has been the home of CinemaCon 2018. Our own Paul Shirey is in attendance, and for the past few days has been tweeting up a storm with all of the latest news and announcements from the big show. This afternoon, during the Universal panel, casting details regarding Illumination's THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 revealed that Harrison Ford, Patton Oswalt, and Tiffany Haddish have signed on to lend their voices to the sequel. Chris Renaud, who co-directed the 2016 animated original with Yarrow Cheney, is set to helm the new movie, which will see Kevin Hart and Jenny Slate return to their roles as Snowball and Gidget, respectively. The original film followed the day-to-day lives of house pets when their owners are away.

Before his fall from grace, comedian Louis C.K. was in-line to return as the voice of Max the dog, for the sequel. However, after being accusd of sexual misconduct by at least 5 women,  C.K. was promptly terminated from the project. No details concerning the plot of THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 have been unveiled at this time. The sequel is being written by Brian Lynch (MINIONS) and is in the process of filming, right now.
