Henry Cavill kicks ass 60s-style in the trailer for The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Earlier today we got a hold of a few stills from Guy Ritchie's upcoming THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., but now it's time to see Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer in action! The TV show on which the film is based followed secret agents who worked for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement (the titular U.N.C.L.E.). The film itself is an origin of sorts, showing us how it came to be with CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) teaming up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious criminal organization. You know as well as I do that a Guy Ritchie film has to be seen to be experienced, so check out the trailer below!

While I wasn't the biggest fan of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock films, there's no doubt that his style was one of the few endearing aspects. He has a knack for breathing life into period pieces and while this year is filled to the brim with spy pictures, (KINGSMAN, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, BOND, etc), U.N.C.L.E. may stand head to head with the best of 'em.  I'm happy to say that this was one fun and stylish trailer, and it looks like the leads are having a ball.  Here's hoping the audience does the same later this summer.

THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. hits theaters on August 14, 2015.
