Here are the first plot details for Jordan Peele’s Us

Jordan Peele is a busy, busy man. In fact, I sometimes wonder if he's somehow managed to completely cancel out sleep from his schedule, since it seems as though he would have little time for it. After winning the Oscar for penning his debut GET OUT, Peele went on to confirm his reboot of the cult classic anthology series THE TWILIGHT ZONE, he is voicing a character in the upcoming TOY STORY 4, he's producing the remake of the chilling early '90s CANDYMAN, and he will also be directing a sophomore feature called US. Little has been known about the plot of US thus far, but thankfully, our friends over at Slashfilm confirmed today just what we have in store for us on March 15, 2019.

Here's the official synopsis:

"A mother (Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o from Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and 12 Years a Slave) and a father (Winston Duke from Black Panther) take their kids to their beach house expecting to unplug and unwind with friends (including Emmy winner Elizabeth Moss from TV series The Handmaid’s Tale). But as night descends, their serenity turns to tension and chaos when some shocking visitors arrive uninvited."

I don't know about you, but I personally loved GET OUT, and have been a fan of Mr. Peele since his KEY AND PEELE days, so I've been looking forward to this one for awhile. Now that I know a little bit more about what to expect from the upcoming film, I'm even more excited. Knowing how Peele likes to start out with a typical scenario before throwing a wrench into the spokes, I'd say there's more at play here than what he's chosen to reveal, and I can't wait to see what lies in wait for us early next year.

What do you think about the first official details for Peele's latest? I know I'll be there in theaters with bells on when US hits the big screen — will you?
