Here’s the first trailer for Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys

It was interesting to hear that Clint Eastwood would be taking on a big screen adaptation of the musical JERSEY BOYS. The actor turned director hadn’t worked on a movie from this genre, but he did have a background of filming scripts based on true events. This one is no different. Sure, it’s about the beginning of the musical act THE FOUR SEASONS and their breakout star Frankie Valli, but it also sort of feels like GOODFELLAS minus the gangsters and debauchery.

As a fan of Eastwood and music biopics, I’m definitely digging it. Christopher Walken is also a huge plus.

”You wanna hear the real story? I’m the one you talk to.”

Synopsis:

Clint Eastwood‘s big screen version of the Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of the four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic ’60s rock group The Four Seasons. Their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the hit songs that influenced a generation, and are now being embraced by a new generation of fans through the stage musical.

JERSEY BOYS hits theaters on June 20, 2014.
