Hugh Jackman releases fake ad to troll Ryan Reynolds

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As far as Hollywood bromaces go, the tit-for-tat nature of Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds' friendship has steadily become the stuff of legend. Much like Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, Jackman and Reynolds truly enjoy taking the piss out of one another, be it through clever social media posts, public functions, and even their slate of blockbuster films. In fact, Reynolds has been playfully harassing Jackman for years, with regard to the REAL STEEL and SWORDFISH actor popping his claws as Marvel's Wolverine, once again, for a Deadpool meets Wolverine crossover project. While Jackman has yet to submit to Reynolds' advances, that hasn't stopped him from trolling his VAN WILDER and WAITING screenside bestie with a series of playful pranks.

If you're looking for a recent example of the duo's on-going shenanigans, you need look no further than Jackman's own Instagram account. Today, the VAN HELSING actor released a video which outs Reynolds as nothing more than a charlatan who enjoys riding Jackman's own coattails. Presented in the style of a political attack ad, Jackman reminds the public that Reynolds remains ashamed of his GREEN LANTERN performance, in addition to clarifying that the R.I.P.D. actor was crowned Sexiest Man of the Year only after Jackman's previous appointment. It's all in good fun, of course, with the video serving as yet another wink to the pair's unique brand of comraderie and showmanship.

You can check out the video for yourself below. And hey, if you'd like to see a Wolverine and Deadpool crossover, leave us a shout in the comments section below with your ideas as to how it can play out.
