Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: The Unpopular Opinion

Welcome back to The UnPopular Opinion! The UnPopular Opinion features different takes on films that either I hated, but that the majority of film fans loved or vice versa. We have always hoped this column will promote constructive and geek fueled discussion. Now, with us entering the visual world, you can get pissed off in a whole new medium. Each episode is written and narrated by yours truly and masterfully edited by Matthew Hacunda.

While some fans still lament the STAR WARS sequel trilogy, there is another George Lucas franchise that has drawn equal amounts of ire for a long-awaited follow-up that didn't quite meet everyone's expectations. While Steven Spielberg's reunion with Lucas for INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM THE CRYSTAL SKULL is hated by a lot of fans for everything from the nuke the fridge scene to Shia LaBeouf's character, I contend that it is a worthy addition to the Indy mythology and is actually better than another movie in the original trilogy. But yes, for Indiana Jones Crystal Skull is an interesting case study.

Oh, and if you have any suggestions for The UnPopular Opinion I’m always happy to hear them. You can send along an email to [email protected] or spell it out in the comments below. Provide me with as many movie suggestions as you like, with any reasoning you'd care to share, and if I agree then you may one day see it featured in this very column!
