Is Chris Nolan considering making an Inception video game?

FYI – Christopher Nolan’s little film INCEPTION has made just under a bajillion dollars worldwide. Actually, it’s real worldwide take is a ridiculously impressive $753 million now as the film is about to be released in Italy, its last major international territory.

And while that’s been happening, Nolan also discussed the possibility of creating a video game set in the world of what’s arguably this year’s most significant film. Here’s Variety with the quote from a press conference in Rome:

“We are looking at doing is developing a videogame based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can’t fit into a feature film. That’s something we’ve been talking about and are looking at doing long term, in a couple of years.”

While games based on movie properties are not particularly known for their greatness (with some notable exceptions such as the recent Scott Pilgrim game, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Goldeneye), it would seem INCEPTION would be perfect fodder for a video game, with its exotic locales, intense gunplay, droves and droves of “projections” to make dead, and of course, mind-bending physics. I’d definitely be down for some of that, but what about you?
