Fierce character actor Jason Isaacs, probably best known as Lucius Malfoy in HARRY POTTER, has joined the cast of the Paul Greengrass directed, as yet untitled “Green Zone” drama. The Brian Helgeland scripted flick stars Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear and Amy Ryan in a fictionalized drama about events in Iraq’s “Green Zone” after the defeat of Saddam Hussein. It’s based on on Rajiv Chandrasekaran’s book “Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Baghdad’s Green Zone”, detailing the US administration’s attempts to reconstruct the city. Isaacs will play an American military officer. He can next be seen in the drama GOOD and the action thriller STOPPING POWER.
