No, Reese Witherspoon and Jason Segel are not making a sex tape. Just a movie titled SEX TAPE and for now that’s just a maybe.
Sony Pictures recently picked up the script for SEX TAPE penned by Kate Angelo (THE BACK-UP PLAN). They are ready to get rolling on it as soon as possible. The story centers on, “a married couple who take a night off from their kids, decide to get adventurous and spice things up by making a private sex tape. When they wake up, the tape is gone and they go on a desperate search to find it.”
The studio is in talks with director Nicholas Stoller (FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL) to helm the film. They also want to get frequent Stoller collaborator, Jason Segel in one of the lead roles and Reese Witherspoon in the other. Offers have gone out to both so we will find out soon enough if they jump on board.
I can see Segel taking it, but what about Witherspoon? Do you even want to see Witherspoon? Maybe someone else would do it for you?
