From Jonas Cuaron (writer of GRAVITY), comes DESIERTO – a visceral, heart-pounding thriller. What begins as a hopeful journey to seek a better life becomes a harrowing and primal fight for survival when a deranged, rifle-toting vigilante (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) chases a group of unarmed men and women through the treacherous U.S.-Mexican border. In the harsh, unforgiving desert terrain, the odds are stacked firmly against them as they continuously discover there’s nowhere to hide from the unrelenting, merciless killer. Jeffrey Dean Morgan always manages to make his characters charismatic as hell, even when they’re villains! The set-up for this one is simple enough, and I really like the idea of a horror-esque picture taking place mostly in the day. I can’t speak for Jonas Cuaron‘s directing abilities, but if he’s anything like his dad, then this is one to keep an eye on!
DESIERTO will be released on March 4, 2016.
