Jemaine Clement is the Men in Black 3 villain

Jemaine Clement, star of "Flight of the Conchords" and the unfortunate GENTLEMEN BRONCOS, has signed on to star as the villain in MEN IN BLACK 3. As you might expect, Sony is trying to keep details on the film as top secret as possible so little is known about the character. Even the name is up in the air - it could be Boris or it could also be Yaz. Whatever it is, the character is described as "charmy and creepy at the same time" (though that pretty much describes every decent villain in movie history).

Clement joins Will Smith, Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones in the film, which will be shot in 3D later this year. Jones will only appear in the beginning and the end of the movie while the bulk of the film will take place in 1969 with Brolin playing a younger version of Agent Kay.

Clement recently wrapped filming on DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS with Steve Carell and Paul Rudd and voices one of the characters in the upcoming animated film DESPICABLE ME (which oddly means that MIB3 will be Clement's second 3D film).

Barry Sonnenfeld is once again directing the film, which is set to begin production this August for a May, 2012 release date.

Extra Tidbit: "Conchords" director James Bobin is currently doing pre-production work for his feature directorial debut on the new Muppet movie.
