If the job paid well enough, you'd star in an Adam Sandler movie, too.
Hell, everyone has bills to pay, which should explain Jennifer Hudson signing on to star in Adam Sander's next picture, per his Netflix deal. After all, she does have an Oscar to her credit.
Hudson will showcase her musical talents as an aspiring singer (not much of a stretch there) in SANDY WEXLER. Sandler will be in the title role as a talent manager who represents those on the fringe of show business. However, when he discovers Hudson's character in an amusement park, he signs her and ultimately creates problems for himself as he falls in love with her.
Just what I'm sure you were hoping for – an Adam Sandler love story.
This will mark the third picture for Sandler under his Netflix deal, which has been beneficial to both parties. THE RIDICULOUS 6 was the most-watched movie on Netflix in its first 30 days of availability, and then there was THE DO-OVER.
SANDY WEXLER heads into production in August and will be release at a yet-to-be-determined time in 2017.
