Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu strip and scam rich dudes in Hustlers trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

In the new movie HUSTLERS, Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu and more play strippers who are fed up with the rich men who line their pockets by playing with the money of the working class – so they decide to work with what they got and scam those fools out of all their singles. The first trailer unites the ensemble cast as they devise their plan to use their talents to scam, steal and work it to sick beats in order to work one over on the Wall Street fat cats and taste some of that high life for themselves, if only for a little while.

Starting with Lopez showing Wu the ropes (er, the pole?), the trailer primarily focuses on them as they form their plan, and while the exact details of it are still a bit murky it basically involves taking chumps for all they got. The movie also stars Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart and singers Cardi B and Lizzo, but when it comes to many of them you wouldn’t know they were in this movie unless you spotted their quick glimpses and saw their names at the end. Perhaps future trailers will go beyond Lopez and Wu and get into more of the diverse group dynamic because the cast as a whole seems to be embracing the wildness of this true story.

Based on the New York Magazine article “The Hustlers at Scores” by Jessica Pressler, this adaptation of the true story is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay (it’s a Wall Street movie, so of course)  through their Gloria Sanchez Productions.
