Just last week, we heard that John Cusack was getting involved in an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, CELL. But wait, this isn’t the only thing he has in the pipeline. He also plans to star in a film called DUE PROCESS.
The latest project he’s got going on blows the previous two out of the water.
Cusack is developing a biopic on Rush Limbaugh, which is for now titled, RUSH. In addition to producing the pic under his New Crime banner, the actor will also take on the role of Limbaugh. This is going to be something to see.
Betty Thomas (PRIVATE PARTS) is attached to direct the film with the script almost near complete. Thomas already had her experience with an on-screen Limbaugh with PRIVATE PARTS. The story will, “explore the rise and reinvention of American Talk Radio, and Limbaugh’s continued influence and impact over the last three decades in that world.”
The project should begin production next year.
