Johnny Knoxville and Patton Oswalt go to camp in untitled comedy

Just yesterday, Patton Oswalt blew my mind when I saw one of his posts on Twitter comparing the age of Don Rickles and William Shatner. Rickles is only 5 years older than Shatner. WHAT. Yeah, it’s true.

Oswalt came up again today with the news that he would be co-starring with Johnny Knoxville in an upcoming untitled comedy. The two actors will be playing brawling brothers who in an attempt to honor their ailing father decide to take a group of boys on a camping trip. Of course, everything goes horribly wrong. The script was written by Todd Rohal who will also serve as director.

The screenplay was originally titled SCOUT MASTER but I suppose they aren’t going with that. The story is loosely based on a childhood experience of Rohal’s. What was once SCOUT MASTER will be financed by Marc Turtletaub and Peter Saraf’s Big Beach Films. Big Beach Films recently produced MY IDIOT BROTHER.
