Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, and Chris Hemsworth are Wolverines in these stills from Red Dawn

Wow, well, nice to see you again RED DAWN remake. Thought you were never going to grace us with your presence again.

But who is really ready for a remake of RED DAWN? I’m sort of partial to the Swayze myself. The film was delayed for awhile since MGM went through some financial woes. Then the enemy of the movie had to be changed. Josh Hutcherson explained, “Originally it was the Chinese. And then there was the thought that the Chinese own most of the companies making movies and that maybe it wasn’t the best idea in the world.”

Then the filmmakers re-edited and digitally altered the finished film. Now they take on the North Koreans (aided by the Chinese and Russians).

Two new stills from the film have been released showing Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, and Chris Hemsworth in character as the Wolverines. Wolverines! This is some macho shit, yo. The remake releases on November 21st.

In Red Dawn, a city in Washington state awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky – shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.
