Kevin Hart will be heading back to class in Night School

Kevin Hart Night School Tim Story

Kevin Hart is like a shorter, louder Dwayne Johnson, at least when it comes to filling his schedule full of projects, but whether you like him or not, it's hard to deny that Hart doesn't work his ass off. The comedian has added yet another movie to his slate with NIGHT SCHOOL, an action-comedy for Universal Pictures which is currently in pre-production.

The film will follow a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult education classes in order to prepare for the GED exam. Sounds thrilling. In addition to starring in and producing NIGHT SCHOOL, Kevin Hart was also the one who came up with the story for the film. The project also may reunite Kevin Hart with Tim Story, who directed Hart in both of the RIDE ALONG and THINK LIKE A MAN movies, as the director is currently in negotiations to handle NIGHT SCHOOL as well. I'm not a betting man, but I think there's a very good chance that NIGHT SCHOOL will wind up being Kevin Hart and Tim Story's fifth collaboration.

If you're a fan of Kevin Hart, you certainly have plenty to look foward to; the actor has lent his voice to CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS, which is set for a June 2, 2017 release, and will also appear in JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE on December 20, 2017. As for future projects, Kevin Hart is currently filming UNTOUCHABLE, a remake of the French film THE INTOUCHABLES, with Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman. Hart also has a RIDE ALONG sequel in the works and was in negotiations to play Santa Claus in DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW last year. The Disney comedy will tell the story of "a New York City detective who is a workaholic and has a strained relationship with his son. The only thing that may be able to repair the father-son relationship is the one true Santa Claus who has to make the man believe in Christmas magic."
