Kevin Smith made a name for himself in the world of comedy with gems like CLERKS and CHASING AMY. While he may be spreading his wings with TUSK, the man remains as funny as he ever was. Instagram is all fun and games until you get stuck in the floor, which Mr. Smith is more than happy to tell us about via crude animation and a barrage of Winnie the Pooh references.
With reviews from TIFF pouring in (you can check out ours here), I’m relieved to hear that this is a return to a very different kind of form for Kevin Smith. Given his last couple of flicks, I was okay with letting the man retire if his heart wasn’t into it. However, it seems he’s found a home with independent fare as TUSK will be directly followed by the second film in his True North Trilogy, YOGA HOSERS. Bring it, Smith. Just remember to make your way back to CLERKS III someday.
TUSK will see a limited theatrical release on September 19, 2014.
