Nicole Kidman has agreed to star and produce the drama LITTLE BEE for BBC Films. Based on the Chris Cleave hit novel, the story centers on a sixteen year old Nigerian orphan who helps an upper-middle-class British couple find their way after they stray just a little too far from their resort. The orphan’s name is Little Bee. Shawn Slovo, who wrote the under-appreciated CATCH A FIRE, has been tasked with writing the script. Kidman, as always, has a ton of projects coming up. She can next be seen as one of the many women in Daniel Day Lewis’ life in the Rob Marshall directed musical NINE, is currently filming the John Cameron Mitchell directed drama RABBIT HOLE and has the biopic THE DANISH GIRL in the pipeline as well. One could say she’s a busy…little bee. No?
