Kiersey Clemons will appear in Justice League before The Flash

The November’s JUSTICE LEAGUE will finally bring some DC Comics’ biggest heroes together to fight a band of evil flying creatures in a movie fans have been dying to see for ages and ages. But there will be plenty of non-super people around too, and one of these normies includes Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West, a character who has just been confirmed to appear before she’s seen alongside The Flash (Ezra Miller) in his solo movie.

The news comes from an interview Clemons gave Modeliste, saying how she filmed a cameo for the upcoming superhero epic in London, and how it will be the first time we ever lay eyes on Flash’s love interest:

I’m making a cameo in Justice League as Iris West and it’s the first time that you meet her before we get to see her in The Flash with Ezra Miller. It was my first time doing something so extravagant like that. We filmed in London and that’s one of my favorite places.

As mentioned before, West plays the love interest to The Flash/Barry Allen (the two eventually get married in the comics), and she will have a big role in the character’s planned solo movie. Said movie has hit some bumps in the road, though, as the film would’ve teamed her up with her DOPE director, Rick Famuyiwa, until sadly he left the project. Since then the movie has struggled to find a director, but is still a high priority on the DC docket. This cameo could act as a intro to the relationship between Allan and West, as we could be waiting for the movie longer than we'd all like.

Clemons is one of the brighter up-and-coming stars out there, and I've enjoyed watching plenty of her work. I'm glad she's getting such a big role like this and that DC feels confident rolling her out this far ahead of THE FLASH. This way fans will get a taste of her character before she gets to shine in the solo movie, which seems to have hit a minor stall. With everything this movie needs to get accomplished I can't imagine her being in more than one scene, but that will be enough to tide us over. That is, unless you're one of those obnoxious, demanding fans...Craig.

JUSTICE LEAGUE arrives November 17.
