The last time we saw Kyle Chandler on the big screen was in J.J. Abrams SUPER 8. Currently he is in the middle of filming on Ben Affleck’s next directorial effort, ARGO. I never really jumped on the FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS bandwagon but Chandler is definitely an actor that I look forward to seeing when I hear that he is attached to a project.
The actor will be joining the cast of Allen Hughes’ political thriller BROKEN CITY. In the film, Mark Wahlberg stars as, “a Gotham detective hired by a powerful politician (Russell Crowe) to identify his wife’s lover, who is subsequently found and killed. Barry Pepper co-stars as a mayoral candidate, while Chandler will play the nuts and bolts component of his political team.”
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Griffin Dunne, James Ransone, Justin Chambers, Natalie Martinez and Alona Tal also star in the film which is set to release on January 18, 2013.
