Living Dorks remake

Like a good zombie zealot with disposable income, I recently picked up the German teen zomcom NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS. Clearly I wasn’t the only one, since an American remake is already in the works.

Warner Independent is behind the US version, along with Roy Lee, who’s obviously expanding his remake domain beyond Asian cinema (he tapped THE RING and THE GRUDGE, among numerous others). DORKS is certainly prime material, a fairly fun undead romp about three outcast students who inadvertently become zombies through a voodoo ritual (thanks to a female friend, played by a particularly exotic young stunner).

At the very least, it’s the first movie where stapling a decomposing penis back on seems like a reasonable solution for crotch rot.
