Logan gets a bad feeling at a funeral in the latest clip from The Wolverine; plus HBO first look

UPDATE: I’ve also added the HBO First Look from the flick via Coming Soon. It’s short but worthy of posting.

Aren’t feeling too optimistic about THE WOLVERINE, are we? I think deep down inside you guys want this to work but unfortunately what you’ve seen so far doesn’t seem to be doing it for you. I think it’s at least worth giving a shot. Hugh Jackman is a fantastic Wolverine, and it’s not his fault that the solo character films don’t seem to be doing him an justice. But are the expectations too high?

Yesterday the extended train fight clip debuted bringing with it minor enthusiasm, at least to those who expressed their opinions. The second clip from the film focuses on the funeral scene and Logan senses that something isn’t quite right. Then of course a fight breaks out. I just need to see the entire film and get the bigger picture. Seeing piece of piece like this isn’t doing anything for the film. To be honest, it just kind of comes off as bland.

Synopsis: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

THE WOLVERINE will release on July 26th.
