Man of Steel costume designer Michael Wilkinson talks Batman vs Superman

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson (300, WATCHMEN, TRON: LEGACY, MAN OF STEEL) will be back for BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, and while chatting with CineMovie about his most recent work for AMERICAN HUSTLE, he talked about returning for Zack Snyder's upcoming film. Wilkinson is creating new costumes for Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, but says he's also "tweaking" the outfit for Henry Cavill's Superman.

Shooting for BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is scheduled to begin in February of next year, and Michael Wilkinson says the costumes are just about ready for the planned start date.

“We are now in the stage where we’re refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting.”

Batman's new outfit in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN was apparently influenced by Jim Lee's comics, and most fans can't wait to see the new costume. But what about Wonder Woman's costume? The character's outfit hasn't worked that well in the past outside of comics, but will Warner Bros. still want to go with that classic design, or will it have a more contemporary look? I'm very interested in seeing what Gal Gadot will be sporting in BATMAN VS SUPERMAN, and not just because she's incredibly hot.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN will be in theaters on July 17, 2015.
