Marks set to Hack

Justin Marks, screenwriter du jour, has signed on to rewrite Rogue Pictures’ HACK/SLASH. Marks is currently working on HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and previously wrote GREEN ARROW (aka SUPERMAX) and STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI. HACK/SLASH, based on the comic by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, was originally written by Martin Schenk and Todd Lincoln, the latter of whom will direct the film. The story revolves around Cassie Hack, a sort of BUFFY OF THE VAMPIRE SLAYER who travels the world offing supernatural serial killers in the vein of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. The project has been around for some time with Lincoln and crew on hand at the 2006 Comic-Con promoting the flick. Megan Fox was at one point attached to star but that was about eight months ago and it’s unclear if she’s since moved on. No word on when filming might begin but it sounds like it could be a pretty hot movie if it gets off the ground.
