Thanks to Tony Stark's good-natured peacekeeping program, a menace in Ultron is born and the Avengers have their hands full with a robot army. They're going to need all the help they can get, and one of the characters that's been kept in the dark is that of Vision. A slight deviation from the source material, the Vision is born from Tony Stark's AI Jarvis, finding Paul Bettany being promoted from voice work to body work. Now that everyone else has a character poster, it's time for the Vision to enter the spotlight.

When it comes to film adaptations of books, a lot of people maintain that straying from the source material yields bad results. I never agreed with that sentiment, as changes have to be made in order to bring a character or story to life on screen. Rather, the fault lies in poor writing. I think Joss Whedon pulled a brilliant move with the transition of Vision from comics to the screen. Jarvis was turned into an AI in IRON MAN in order to further avoid comparisons with the Bruce Wayne/Alfred relationship prevalent in Batman movies. Whedon takes that a step further, ultimately transforming him into the Vision, and I can't wait to see how he plays out in AGE OF ULTRON.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will arrive in theaters on May 1st.
