I hope you're in the mood for love because Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang's Master of None is set to return to Netflix on May 23rd.

The Emmy Award-winning Master of None returns with a new season that chronicles the relationship between Denise (Emmy Award winner Lena Waithe) and her partner Alicia (BAFTA winner Naomi Ackie). Directed by series co-creator and Emmy winner Aziz Ansari, and scripted by Ansari and Waithe, this new season is a modern love story that intimately illustrates the ups and downs of marriage, struggles with fertility, and personal growth both together and apart. Fleeting romantic highs meet crushing personal losses while existential questions of love and living are raised.

Co-created by Ansari and Emmy Award winner Alan Yang, Season 3 delivers an evolution of the series that remains tethered to previous seasons while breaking new storytelling ground of its own.

Despite his name being all over the upcoming season, it doesn't look as if Ansari's Dev is featured heavily in the new episodes, if at all. It could be that Ansari isn't ready to get back in front of the camera following allegations of sexual misconduct in 2018. “I went on a date with Aziz Ansari. It turned into the worst night of my life,” a woman using the pseudonym "Grace" said at the time. Following the story’s publication, Ansari backed away from the spotlight.

Set to the song "Nuit D'etoiles, L. 4" by Jessye Norman and James Levine, the new trailer evokes an incredible amount of emotion. Could this be Master of None's most powerful season to date? It certainly looks that way.
