Meet Charlie in this creepy new trailer for Hereditary

This year is shaping up to be a fantastic one for horror, with the sci-fi/horror flick A QUIET PLACE quickly approaching $100 million. Also on the way is another horror film that has all the critics raving – HEREDITARY – which puts a new spin on the evil spirit/possession format. At the center of the movie is the troubled child Charlie (Milly Shapiro), who is the focus on this creepy new trailer for the upcoming terrorfest. 

Here’s the plot synopsis:

When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.

This new movie from first-time director Ari Aster looks incredibly terrifying and unrelenting, and so far, the reviews seem to be supporting that, with our own Chris Bumbray gave the movie a fantastic 9/10 score. This new preview really sells the creepy performances from Shapiro, which looks to be just one of the many frightening aspects of this movie. Have I got across the fact this movie is already scaring the hell out of me?
