Meet the Bond girls in new Spectre photos; full trailer to debut tomorrow

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

One of the most important aspects of any James Bond film is the women. Love interests and female foes have played a vital part in every adventure 007 has had on screen. Since the reboot of the series with Daniel Craig in the lead, the female roles have been stronger than ever. Sure, the women are still sexy as hell, but they are more developed as people rather than just eye candy. USA Today has unveiled new images and details regarding the women appearing in the latest Bond film, SPECTRE, which you can check out below.

First up, we have Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann.

The doctor daughter of an assassin, Swann comes into contact with Bond at her Austrian clinic, and while there is a spark between them, their first meeting is abrupt, to say the least. "He comes to find her," Seydoux says, "and she doesn’t want anything to do with him."

Next is Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra.

Bond arrives in Italy looking for information from the widow, whose Mafioso husband has been murdered — a fate that might be waiting for her as well. "She comes from a man’s world," Bellucci says. "But when the attraction between them takes place and she realizes her feminine power on him, then she trusts him to save her."

We have the great Naomie Harris returning as Eve Moneypenny.

Moneypenny was a young and very green MI6 agent in 2012's Skyfall, and the events of the film — in which she nearly killed our favorite British superspy by accidentally shooting him — "made her reassess what she was doing as a profession and what she wanted to do with the rest of her life," Harris says. In Spectre, "she wants to support in a different way. There’s a maturity in that decision and a groundedness you see with her."

And finally Stephanie Sigman as Estrella.

Sigman would love to say, but she's sworn to secrecy about pretty much everything involving her character, including her last name. But when it comes to Estrella's personality, "there's a lot of Stephanie in her. She's a lot like me," the Hollywood newcomer says. "We like to have fun and we're joyful people. I found her really easy to play and go with the flow and just be me."

Now, if photos of beautiful women isn't your thing, you should know that the full trailer for SPECTRE is set to debut tomorrow at 3am EST according to Twitter. We will be bringing you the video as soon as it is unveiled, so stay tuned for some amazing action when you wake up in the morning.

SPECTRE opens on November 6th.
