THE BOSS, the latest from husband-wife team Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy (TAMMY) sees McCarthy as Michelle Darnell, an Oprah Winfrey-type titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.
The first trailer for the upcoming film has been released, and although it doesn't look as bad as TAMMY, I still don't have high expectations for the comedy. The ANCHORMAN fight scene-styled Girl Scout rumble did make me chuckle though, as did McCarthy's cracks about Kristen Bell's boobs, which, for the record, are definitely not in danger of being zipped up in her jeans.
THE BOSS is due out on April 8, 2016.
