If you were a fan of the first NOW YOU SEE ME movie, chances are you’re going to check out the sequel that’s in the works. So far we know that G.I. JOE: RETALIATION director Jon Chu will helm NOW YOU SEE ME 2 with Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Mark Ruffalo all expected to reprise their roles. Now Michael Caine can be added to the list of returning stars; the man dropped some pretty big news regarding the sequel tonight suggesting that Daniel Radcliffe will be playing his son!
During an interview with heyuguys.com, Michael Caine gave the following info:
"There’s a sequel to Now You See Me and we’re shooting in London. I shoot in December, the whole of December in London, and my son is Harry Potter. I thought it’d be funny, me and Daniel Radcliffe as father and son."
I love that Michael Caine refers to another actor as one of their character names, what a funny pisstaker. I hope Radcliffe mentions in his next interview that he can’t wait to work with Alfie or Alfred. This sounds like a great idea for the sequel; as someone who was lukewarm on the original, this movie needs a few great ideas to work its magic on me.
