Shooting is set to start imminently on Dreamworks’ WELCOME TO PEOPLE, a strangely titled family drama starring Chris Pine, Olvia Wilde and Elizabeth Banks.
But with all the hot young people roles filled, there was one more to cast, and Michelle Pfeiffer will take the hot old person slot as Chris Pine’s widowed mom.
The story centers on Pine returning home for his father’s funeral, accompanied by his girlfriend (Wilde) and he tries to help his alcoholic half-sister (Banks) turn her life around. The film is Alex Kurtzman’s directorial debut, and you’ll no doubt recognize his name as he’s written films like STAR TREK, TRANSFORMERS and most recently COWBOYS AND ALIENS.
Shooting starts next week (told you it was imminent) and it will be out in 2012.
