I was a little skeptical when I heard Michelle Williams was cast as Marilyn Monroe in MY WEEK WITH MARILYN. Sure she was blonde and a good actress, but could she really pull of portraying the biggest bombshell in Hollywood history?
After watching this new trailer, I think that the answer might just be yes. Williams 100% looks the part, and brings a life to the actress that shines through even in a short trailer such as this. And with a supporting cast that includes Dominic Cooper, Judi Dench, Emma Watson and Kenneth Branagh, this is definitely one to watch. Colin Clark met Marilyn Monroe while working as a young assistant on Laurence Olivier’s “The Prince and the Showgirl.” When Marilyn experienced emotional difficulties during shooting, the 23-year-old third assistant director came to her aid and romance developed. But one week of honesty and fun was not enough to save the doomed star from self-destruction.
