Mila Kunis is set to make Sam Raimi’s Oz, The Great and Powerful a little more wicked

Sam Raimi just got a sexy addition to his OZ, THE GREAT AND POWERFUL cast.

Vulture got the inside scoop that Mila Kunis has nabbed the role of a witch. The script which was penned by playwright turned screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire (THE RABBIT HOLE), “tells the story of the origins of the Wizard, and of Oz’s infamous witches like Glinda, who becomes the Good Witch of the North, and Evanorah, who becomes the Wicked Witch of the East (though best remembered as the new, ruby-slippered sub-basement of Dorothy’s farmhouse).”

After a meeting with Raimi and James Franco, who they say has taken the role of the great wizard, they both agreed that Mila would be perfect for the role. So which witch will she be? Theodorah, the younger sister of Evanorah who goes on to become the Wicked Witch of the West. You know what this means–she’ll get to say the famous line of, “I’ll get you, my pretty … and your little dog, too!”

When it was assured that Kunis would be in the film, Vulture said that Franco decided to take the Wizard role.

Guess this is a bad day for the Hughes Brothers live-action AKIRA project. We’ll talk about that in my next article coming up.
